We are enjoying a great visit with my parents (Muggy and Granddaddy). Their friends (and some of our faithful supporters), Liz and Wayne Foster, are visiting us too. We spent Saturday exploring Cusco and then headed for a road trip to the Sacred Valley of Peru on Sunday.
On Saturday we toured around downtown Cusco, shopping and visiting the Plaza de Armas. We also went to see the Inka ruins at Sacsayhuaman (sounds like sexy woman). Luke walked all over the ruins and even climbed to the top to enjoy the gorgeous view of the entire city.

...of course he was NOT interested in the view OR the family photo shoot. He just wanted to walk some more.

...and some more. Our trip through the Sacred Valley included visits to Chinchero, Urubamba, and Ollayntaytambo (say that three times really fast...or just say it one time). Each of these towns are ancient Inka towns with a lot of history. We saw Inka ruins, Quechua women demonstrating weaving, llamas, markets, and lots of beautiful countryside.

Our last stop of the day was in Ollantaytambo. Here, we climbed up this...

...to see all of this...

...wearing these. Don't you want to know where you can get one?

Yes, it rained for most of the afternoon. However, we still enjoyed climbing the ruins and learning quite a bit about Inka history and architecture. Thankfully, Muggy and Liz weren't interested in making the climb. They got to do a little shopping and entertain Luke at "Inka Bucks".

Next stop...Beunos Aires, Argentina.
Great fun to be together! The Inka ruins interest me so much! What a mystery! So glad everyone is doing well! Saw GrandM. yesterday and she and Charlene were getting ready to do a puzzle! What a blessing to know she is doing well! Love, Donna
